Primary Care Physician
Dr. Joseph M. Mossad practices primary care at Salem Township Hospital, where he strives to create a personal connection with patients in our rural healthcare facility. Dr. Mossad holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and pursued his graduate degree at Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. He completed his medical residency at Cahaba-UAB Family Medicine and is a member of AAFP, AFP, and ABFM Board Certified. Outside of work, Dr. Mossad enjoys spending time with his spouse, Haley, and being involved in his local church community. He also loves traveling, reading, and team sports.

Family Nurse Practitioner
Family Nurse Practitioner, Stella Johnson, has over 10 years of experience in Advanced Practice care and more than 20 years in nursing. A native of Southern Illinois, Stella obtained her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University and is board certified. She specializes in treating chronic conditions and emphasizes the importance of preventive health care. At Salem Township Hospital Rural Health Primary Clinic, Stella provides care for patients and families of all ages.
