Salem Township Hospital announces the retirement of Chris Jahn, longtime Director of the Cardiopulmonary Department, and welcomes Kelly Cavins as the new Director.

Chris Jahn has been instrumental in building the Cardiopulmonary Department into the comprehensive, patient-centered program it is today. Under his leadership, the department expanded Cardiopulmonary services and testing for the community. Chris Jahn joined Salem Hospital in 1987. Chris implemented several new services over the years, such as pulmonary testing, cardiac stress testing, short-term and long-term cardiac monitoring, as well as EEG and Sleep Disorder Lab. He ensured the department kept pace with state-of-the-art advances to provide the best care possible. He is also known for his adventurous spirit, having completed a cross-country bike trip in 2004 for the Lung Association Fundraiser.

STH’s new Cardiopulmonary Director, Kelly Cavins, brings 24 years of experience at Salem Township Hospital and a passion for advancing patient care. In addition to being a Certified Respiratory Therapist, Kelly is Board Certified in Pulmonary Diagnostics. Kelly is dedicated to continuing the department’s legacy of excellence and providing advanced cardiac and pulmonary diagnostics for the community.
