Join our team in a Surgery department role as a Registered Nurse in Same Day Stay Surgery.
This role collaborates with other team members to prepare patients in the pre-admission phase and discharge phase of surgery.
Duties
- Coordinates the components of the pre-admission program and follow-up interviews as a priority.
- Consumer satisfaction with positive public relations will be the most important goal of the pre-admission nurse coordinator.
- Assists the patients in returning to a safe physiological level after an anesthetic by providing safe, knowledgeable and individualized nursing care in the immediate and Phase 11 recovery room.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
- Current registration with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
- Two years of previous experience in medical/surgical with one year of surgery nursing preferred.
- Prefer Same Day Stay Surgery experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- BLS and ACLS required.
- Communication and interpersonal skills essential.
- Possesses analytical skills/ critical thinking and knowledge to analyze test results, identify problems, and take appropriate action.
- Thorough knowledge of general theory and practice. Specific knowledge in patient education and recovery room technique.
Schedule
- Full-Time Days
- Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
- Occasional 6:00 am – 2:30 pm (or) 8:00 pm – 4:30 pm depending on schedule
- NO CALL
Hourly Pay Range
- $31.00/hr – $44.95/hr
Actual hourly pay rate depends on experience (DOE).
