Kevin Claffey, MD, an experienced general surgeon, brings over three decades of surgical experience to Salem Township Hospital. Graduating from the University of Scranton in Scranton, PA, he completed his medical degree and residency at Hahnemann University Medical School. He also completed an endoscopy training program in Japan. In addition, he is a member of the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Claffey is married to Nurse Practitioner Kim Claffey, with whom he has four children.

Dr. April L. Jackson is a native of Metropolis, IL and previously practiced in Paducah, Ky for fifteen years. Dr. Jackson received her medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois. She completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and her surgical residency with Southern Illinois University in Springfield. Dr. Jackson strives to make sure that the decisions made for patients are those that she would also make for family and friends, providing acute care with a focus on prevention.
