Job Summary
- Become proficient with the supply chain system.
- Process purchase orders. (Create and review purchase orders, place orders with vendors, and follow-up.)
- Process storeroom supply orders. (Process pick tickets, pull supplies from the storeroom, and deliver to departments.)
- Receive deliveries. (Sort items delivered and match to packing slips, deliver supplies to departments, put items away in the storeroom, and process receiving paperwork in the Materials Management System.)
- Maintain files.
- Correspond with vendors via email and phone.
- Keep storeroom organized and clean.
- Perform cycle counts and year-end inventory of storeroom supplies.
- Process outgoing mail and shipments.
- Assist purchasing director with special projects.
- Lifting is required.
Education / Experience
- Minimum of high school graduate or equivalent.
- Computer experience required.
- Inventory control experience would be a plus, but is not necessary.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Communication and organization skills necessary.
- Pleasant personality to provide customer service to our hospital employees and to correspond with vendors.
Schedule
- Part-Time
- Wednesday and Friday
- 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
Hourly Pay Range
- $16.00 – $24.00
Actual hourly pay rate depends on experience (DOE).
