Job Description
Assigns ICD-10CM and CPT codes to Outpatient, Emergency Department, (including both facility and professional codes), Rural Health Clinic, Same Day Surgery, provider based practices and observation records. Abstracts coded information into computer system for generation of statistical Information, coding and indexing reports, and generation of claim for reimbursement.
Qualifications
- Graduation with a degree in Health Information Technology, or related field.
- Successful passing of AHIMA accreditation examination.
- Will consider a student currently enrolled in a related program for coding.
Schedule
- Full-time
- 40 hrs/week
- Hybrid (Part onsite & Part remote)
Hourly Pay Range
- $21.50 – $25.80
Actual hourly pay rate depends on experience (DOE).
