Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist (Part-Time)

Qualifications

Specific to Medical Laboratory Technician (required):

Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a graduate of a Diploma School Program.
Certification/License/Registration by ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology), AMT, AAB, or equivalent.

Specific for Medical Technologist (preferred):

Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science, Medical Laboratory Science, or related field.
Certification/License/Registration by ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology), AAB, AMT, or equivalent.

Job Summary

Supervises and performs tests in any of the departmental areas of the laboratory: checks validity and accuracy of test results; provides in-service education to other technicians and technologists; provides on-the-job training to new personnel (clerks) and/or orientation of new technicians and technologists. Able to collect samples from patients of all ages. Responsible for guest relations, interpersonal skills and patient confidentiality.

Schedule

Part-Time
Every 3rd weekend and scheduled according to needs

Hourly Pay Range

MLT $24.00/hr – $28.80/hr
MT $26.50/hr – $31.80/hr
Actual hourly pay rate depends on experience (DOE).
