Respiratory Therapist PRN

High School graduate or equivalent.
Successful completion of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved respiratory therapy school.
Successful completion of the National Board of Respiratory Care CRT examination.
Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner license is recommended.
A minimum of 1000 hours of clinical or internship in a respiratory therapy program or at least six months, 30 hours per week as a respiratory therapy technician.
Current in BCLS.
In addition, ACLS, PALS, NALS and/or basic arrhythmia course(s) are recommended.
Through knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures and pulmonary critical and emergency care.
Ability to understand and relay oral and written instructions.

Provides respiratory care and diagnostic services per physician orders and departmental policies.
Assists in maintaining the department and equipment in a functional and orderly condition.
