Visitor Guidelines

As we continue to make every effort to protect our patients, our staff, and our community, Salem Township Hospital has updated our Visitor Guidelines effective 04/01/2022.  The visitor restrictions  have been lifted for the Med/Surg patients.  ER patients are allowed 1 visitor at a time.  They can now rotate out with other family members.  It does not have to be 1 specific assigned person in a 24 hr period.  RHC, Behavioral Health, and Outpatient can have 1 assigned visitor.  Patients under the age of 18 may have two parents.  We ask that you please wash and sanitize your hands and a facial cover will be required while you are visiting.  If you are sick or not feeling well, we ask that you not visit.  Visitors must be healthy and will be screened upon entry.

If patient is admitted with Covid or has to be seen in the Emergency Room with Covid symptoms they are not allowed any visitors unless approved.

The main front lobby entrance will remain open Monday-Friday, 6:00am-6:30pm (no weekends or holidays).  Outside of those hours, the emergency entrance, on the hospital’s north side, will be the only entrance to the hospital.  All individuals entering the building through either entrance will be required to wear a mask and will be screened for fever and symptoms upon entry.

Salem Township Hospital appreciates everyone’s help and understanding with these temporary requests and encourage the community to follow Center for Disease Control and Illinois Department of Public Health recommendations.
