Visitor Policy Changes

As we continue to make every effort to protect our patients, our staff, and our community, Salem Township Hospital has implemented a No Visitor policy effective immediately.  This will remain in effect until further notice.

The main front lobby entrance is now closed.  All patients should enter through the Emergency entrance on the hospital’s north side where they will be screened for fever and symptoms upon entry.

Emergency and Rural Health Clinic patients and minors under the age of 18 will be allowed one support person.  As a reminder, visitors who meet these exceptions must be healthy and will be screened upon entry.  Additional exceptions to the No Visitor policy may be made on a case-by-case basis.

Salem Township Hospital appreciates everyone’s help and understanding with these temporary requests and encourage the community to follow Center for Disease Control and Illinois Department of Public Health recommendations.

Governing Board Meeting

The Governing Board meeting will be held on the regular day and time this month.  Any individual that would like to attend will need to enter through the Patient Access/Emergency Room entrance.  You will need to tell the wellness screener that you are there to attend the board meeting.

The Hospital is waiving the expiration date on the vouchers that were purchased at the Salem Home Show on March 7, 2020. The vouchers can be used at a later date to reduce the number of individuals coming to the hospital at this time.
