Visitor Policy Changes

As we continue to make every effort to protect our patients, our staff, and our community, Salem Township Hospital has implemented a Limited Visitor Policy, effective June 29, 2020.  This will remain in effect until further notice.

The main front lobby is now open Monday-Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm (no weekends or holidays).  Outside of those hours, the emergency entrance, on the hospital’s north side, will be the only entrance to the hospital.  All individuals entering the building through either entrance will be required to wear a mask and will be screened for fever and symptoms upon entry.

Patients will be allowed one visitor or care partner and minors will be allowed two visitors.  As a reminder, visitors who meet these exceptions must be healthy and will be screened upon entry.  Exceptions to the Limited Visitor Policy may be made on a case-by-case basis.

Salem Township Hospital appreciates everyone’s help and understanding with these temporary requests and encourage the community to follow Center for Disease Control and Illinois Department of Public Health recommendations.

The Hospital is waiving the expiration date on the vouchers that were purchased at the Salem Home Show on March 7, 2020. The vouchers can be used at a later date to reduce the number of individuals coming to the hospital at this time.
